Purpose in the pain

Storms and suffering are not meant to destroy us–but rather define us. When things seem completely out of our control, it allows God the opportunity to show us that He–and He alone is in control and able.

Have you ever found yourself trying to make sense of an unfair situation or injustice that has occurred in your life?

Personally, this is topic I find myself revisiting with God quite often, trying to make sense of why things happen the way that they do. But the reality is that we live in a broken world. A world where those who should protect us–reject us, those that we’ve helped–hurt us, and those that we love–leave us!

Recently, God spoke to me in a dream and told me that there is a reason why I had to go through everything I have went through, all of the pain. My pain would serve a greater purpose; it would help many others in similar painful situations. His words confirmed prophetic words spoken to me in the past, and in that moment it all began to make a little more sense to me…

So MY pain will help someone else?! Praise God!……Then it is ALL worth it!

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them” Romans 8:28.

And as I shared with a beloved friend this morning who was in need of an encouraging word, “It is not our job to understand the process; it is our job to trust that God will deliver us and fulfill everything that He has promised–because He who has promised is faithful and true!” 💜
